Meal Planning

  1. Choose a facility or service from the list on the left.
  2. Select menu category and, for dining halls, a day and a meal.
  3. Choose your menu items and use the drop-down box to select the number of servings. Then click "Add Items" at the top of the page.
  4. Don't forget to add condiments, beverages, breads, and other items to complete your meal. For example, if you've selected a salad, don't forget to add toppings and salad dressings.
  5. As you add menu items, they will appear on the right side of the page under "MyMeal."

Nutritional Analysis

For detailed nutrition information about an individual menu item, simply mouse-over the item. To view the nutritional content for your entire meal, click "Meal Nutrition."

Allergen Screening

The most common allergens are listed in the lower right corner of each meal planning page. Check the allergens you need to avoid and items containing those allergens will be omitted from your menu view. For example, if you check the allergen box for eggs, only menu items without eggs will appear.

Please Note: While MyNutrition will help you manage food allergies, if you are prone to severe allergic reactions, please consult the Chef or Manager about specific ingredient questions. They will be happy to assist you.

Preference Screening

Special icons identify menu items that are vegetarian, vegan, MHealthy, Halal, gluten-free and spicy. Select your preferences and all other menu items will be omitted from your menu view.

MyNutrition

MyNutrition is an online tool that can help you make smart, healthy choices whether you are visiting a Michigan Dining café, market, or dining hall, or attending a Michigan Catering event.

Use it to:

  • Select well-balanced meals
  • See how your food choices measure up nutritionally
  • Screen menu items for allergens
